Thoughts in the shape of words.

Dream Of Tomorrow

I leave my hope

For the dream of tomorrow

Wishing for something new

And I pray for no more sorrow

Should I fall short

Remember my passion

And my commitment

To the right and just

I’m all in this time

And you know i might go bust

But that’s the charm

I’d rather be bankrupt

Than slave away at the old farm

I put my wishes

Away from the light of day

Wishes are fragile beings

Someone’ll always try to steal them away

And when I’ll stand

In front of those faces

Who’ll tear you apart

In a flash of thunder

I will surely know

If this is my path to wander

And should fate smile upon me

I’ll pack my bags

And I’ll finally be set free

Hate

“Hate” is a strong word
I don’t like to throw it around much
People though
Use it as if the word itself
Does not carry any value
“I hate my car”
“I hate my neighbor”
“I hate everything!”
It’s a privilege to use that word
In such a lightweight manner

And when we talk about “love”
People shy away from it
It takes a lot for them
To pronounce their love for another soul
To utter the words “I love you”
Seems like the hardest thing
Because you have to think it through
It takes two to tango
And if the other cat won’t dance
You’re left standing alone in the rain

I wonder why it’s easier for Humankind
The self-proclaimed intellectuals
Of this planet
To declare a hatred
More often than love for someone
And besides
If you’ve been there
When you really hate
The world is a dark room
With no windows

If you have been there
You know it’s not a matter of life
It’s a matter of death
To those that throw around the word “Hate”
Without realizing what it really means
Beware the existence
Of true hatred
The kind that’ll kill your family
Simply because the color of your skin
Or the divinity you bow down to

Me?
I try to keep away from those thoughts
The bad ones that occupy your mind
From time to time
And love is really all you need
I heard that on the radio
And it sounded good to me
But if there’s one thing
That I truly hate with every inch of my body
It’s fucking Mondays

Wrong Choices

Molded into a train wreck

By the laws of men who were

With a noose around my neck

Gasping for one last sip of air

What if I chose wrong at the crossroads

And is forever stuck with this load

They say it’s never too late

To go back and repent

But I did choose this fate

With no idea what it meant

Sometimes I wonder what I’ve done

When I’m spending my life on the run

If you could wear my face for a while

And my coat and shoes as well

You would not cast a single smile

And you would feel this living hell

Burning you up from the inside

With nothing but fear and lies

And what is there really to it all

In these days of corruption and greed

You watch your false idols fall

To satisfy your inner needs

I can’t take part in such mass hysteria

I’ll never succumb to this wicked era

If Someday Could Just Come Soon

Aren’t we all living under pressure

Of some kind

From your partner

Or your boss

Society’s structures

Or just having to walk the dog

Everything you know can crumble in an instant

If you have this funny little thing

Called feelings

Sometimes I feel too much

When that pressure on your chest hits

Even the slightest action

Request or command

Feels like the devil himself

Tapping into your mind

Dancing on your sanity

Thrusting his pitchfork

Right into the bone

Yes, always under pressure

With no idea what to do

Just laying down on the floor

Once again

Like so many times before

Incapable of the littlest things

But what’s worst

Is the inability

To speak to those closest to you

That’s tarnishing

Trust me

And I can not help it

I can not even move

And when you try to help yourself

You fall short

Every single time

Until you lose hope

It’s just gone

I’ll go out and get it back

I will someday

If someday could just come soon

Trying To Get Somewhere

Not moving
But not standing still

Now arriving
To an unfinished page

Sitting still
Thinking of joy

Walking in circles
Still on a fine line

There is nothing
Nothing here

So hard to find
Some decent thoughts

Originality sacrificed
For words of ease

Trying to look around
Nothing found

Just waiting
For anything to happen

Anything besides
Getting stuck here

Cast away from me
Further away from you

Still at the start
Can’t see the finish line

It’s somewhere there
Beyond the horizon

The fact is now
The waiting game will continue

So I’ll go to sleep once again
Without knowing what’s real

And dream about a new tomorrow
When I can begin to feel

What A New Day

Struck down

Get high

Preach left

Turn right

Nothing

Is what it seems

In this world

Of scattered dreams

Reality is taking it’s toll

Your dreams are on parole

And when

Everybody’s talking

You stop

And turn around

Because it’s too much

Or too little

Where’s the vision

For a better existence

It’s washed away

Bought and sold

A long time ago

Hope

Is slowly eroding away

By foul play

What a new day

What a new day

Nothing To Wait For

Saxophone with blue notes

In the air

A cup of coffee at dawn

By my table

Staring into the abyss

Or perhaps salvation

Awaiting

Somewhere

So hard to know

Where you’re going

When you don’t know where you’ve been

Waiting

For the big easy

For love

Waiting

For a big break

Until I’m satisfied

Perhaps Waiting

In vain

So here’s to taking a chance

At life’s strange dance

Why wait

When there’s nothing really to wait for

In The Heat Of The Night

The music starts
A few tones in the night
Sure, I’ve got my faults
But soon I’m gonna feel alright

I waltz down the street
A few steps to release me
Oh wouldn’t it be neat
Just moving to be set free

In the heat of the night
When passion takes charge
And you dance in the rain
Even though life is hard
You shake it off all right
In those smoke ridden lights
In the heat of the night

And all around
The rhythm drives the feet
Of this entire town
On every single dead-end street

I stumble forward
Looking for everyday magic
I lower my guard
But I won’t fall for any tricks

In the heat of the night
When passion takes charge
And you dance in the rain
Even though life is hard
You shake it off all right
In those smoke ridden lights
In the heat of the night

Night-time is love
You don’t wanna get rid of
Night-time is hate
Trying to work out your fate
Night-time is anger
Night-time is pain
Time for vampires
In their dark domain

In the heat of the night
When passion takes charge
And you dance in the rain
Even though life is hard
You shake it off all right
In those smoke ridden lights
In the heat of the night

Late Hours

I saw you dancing in the crowd

And you were so young and free

As free

As only you could be

In my search for joy

Won’t you dance with me?

Give me one night of mischief

One night of lust

And I’ll give you my entire love

‘Cause I work hard all week

To pay my bills

Wont you come on darling

And give me that thrill

Let these late hours be ours

Let these late hours be our time

I see you shine like the flowers

In these late hours

You know I’ve spent some time alone

And I’ve been down on the ground

Never sound

Yes on the verge to drown

I’m not satisfied

In this dull old town

If I can break out of here

Holding you near

I’m on my way to the promised land

And with you beside me

I’ll never stop

Getting out of of what’s less

Finding my right place

Let these late hours be ours

Let these late hours be our time

I see you shine like the flowers

In these late hours

Let’s roam the streets tonight

And let me hold you tight

My bed will provide us comfort

Safety for two lovers

Underneath these covers

Let these late hours be ours

Let these late hours be our time

I see you shine like the flowers

In these late hours

Let these late hours be ours

Let these late hours be our time

I see you shine like the flowers

In these late hours

Rain Keep A-falling

Inside waiting as the rain keeps falling

It falls with the harshness of a whip

And I wonder about this hard rain

And I’m thinking about abandoning ship

You can call yourself a god of whatever

Plead your right to the wind and weather

And those who are mad sure speak their mind

They take much space but not for the better

You keep crawling

Try to support your calling

But there’s no sign of stopping

Rain Keep A-falling

Yes the Rain Keeps A-falling

And outside the masses are getting wet

And they never even knew their threat

Isn’t it so sad to see those people met

Now all I can see is their silhouette

Strengthen the levees now for the flood

Because you know it’s coming fast

And I ask you how much blood

Does it take to repeat the past

You keep crawling

Try to support your calling

But there’s no sign of stopping

Rain Keep A-falling

Yes the Rain Keeps A-falling

Why would you fight against yourselves

When theres a larger evil out there everywhere

I can never figure out why we kill ourselves

Or let the worst of us be billionaires

But I innerly wish for just anything

Anything that beats this wicked reality

To get out of our everyday boxing ring

And to see a live and let live mentality

And you keep crawling

Try so hard to support your calling

But there’s no sign of stopping

Rain Keep A-falling

Yes the Rain Keeps A-falling
